AFA prepares for hurricane Rita

American Flight Airways (AFA) is preparing for Hurricane Rita by
evacuating most of its staff and travelers out of Houston, TX and
Beaumont, TX.
AFA has decided to cease all flights from Beaumont, TX and at both its
Houston operations at Hobby (KHOU) and Bush Intercontinental Airports
(KIAH).

NL-2000 v3 scenery release date set

The Netherlands 2000 team has decided to release version 3 in the first half of 2006.
The development team has been reluctant to release information on the new
NL2000 version 3 as to not make any promises

FIR-Wien, the Vienna ARTCC arranges a major fly-in at the training-room of Microsoft Austria.
The FIR Wien
controllers will provide high quality ATC for the Austrian airspace
with Vienna/Schwechat Intl’ Airport (LOWW) and Innsbruck/Kranebitten
Airport (LOWI) fully staffed.

Kelowna Air opens new hub

Kelowna Air has started operations out of San Antonio with Passenger, Cargo and Charter service.
Current destinations from this new hub include Miami, Little Rock and Oklahoma City.
Kelowna will be using Dash 8 and Martin 4-0-4 aircraft on their passenger flights from San Antonio.

VUSSP Makes Final Push For Manned Lunar Landing

It has been released by VUSSP HQ that the crew of the Apollo 19 mission
have been selected.  "This illustrious crew was selected based on
their talents, experience, and strengths.  They represent the
future of the VUSSP and they are a suiting representation of the
organization as two of these astronauts are new to the program, yet
they bring with them a rich enthusiasm never before seen." stated Head
Director Kaimoni Sutton.
