AETC’s role makes it the first command to touch the life of every New Virtual Air Force member.
AETC’s mission is to develop New Virtual Air Force Pilots today… for tomorrow. This is a volunteer force comprise of Civilian, Active Duty, Reservists, and Overseas (worldwide) participants making a total force of some of the best pilots ever to take the virtual skies.
This new Training Command mirrors our real world counterpart, to fulfill those core values, and to pay homage to our comrades in arms with the respect and dignity of carrying on the Air Force roles, by providing education to interested persons, in a way that can be enjoyed by all from this New Virtual Training..
Air Education and Training
As real as it gets
Innovate or vacate. That seems to be the creed of the modern airline industry and its virtual counterpart. Better products come from better ideas, and the company with the better ideas, thrives.
Recently, Lausa Air has jump started a groundbreaking (daresay, revolutionary) initiative designed to reward its virtual pilots, not with virtual paychecks and virtual swag, but with cold, hard cash… through PayPal. This is “a pilot incentive program with real-live sponsors for its virtual pilots,” said a Lausa Air representative, “and with this new program, we can show our pilots how much we appreciate their dedication and loyalty to Lausa, and the Lausa Air Brand.”
Long-time Lausa supporter, Air Medical Group (www.airmedgroup.com) has again stepped up to be a part of the landmark proposal. “We would not be in a position to offer our pilots such substantial returns were it not for Joe Gonzales, the Air Medical Group, and their continued support,” the representative continued, “nor would we want to be. They have been with us from the beginning, and we are proud to be partnered with such an innovative and dedicated organization that helps so many all around the world.”
Using VAFS to track pilot activity, the pilot reward system acknowledges the aviators with the highest hours per month, and also the aviator with the most number of segments flown. Because Lausa Air has routes ranging from 50 nm to those in excess of 8,000 nm, ideally, no single pilot would be able to have both the highest hours and most flights in any given month. With this hierarchy, the regional pilots of Lausa Air’s City Flyer have a chance to be Continue reading

Established 3.1.2012 – Simulating Part 135 Operations!
Mirage Executive Charters has completed its second full month of operations! In this time we have hired 34 pilots and have flown an astonishing 622 flights! At MECva we provide our pilots with the opportunity to give a sense of purpose to your flights by offering simulated monthly contracts with large and small corporations/businesses to transport executives and employees all over the country and the world. This month’s contract is with Beam Communications, based out of Atlanta, GA. We transport various executives and employees to their satellite and service centers across the Southeast and Texas! We also provide weekly transport for the Stewart-Haas Racing team to the NASCAR races each weekend as well as flying a special Cessna 208 Caravan for The Flying Elvi skydiving team! If you prefer to fly regular routes, we update routes weekly with new charter reservations so that people ALWAYS have something new and fresh to do! All of this is done using the VAFS system!
A route map for the Beam Communications contract is available here – http://files.enjin.com/158916/beam_map.jpg
Along with this month’s new contract, we also have added the Cessna Citation X (Eaglesoft) to our fleet. This greatly increases our range and gives us the ability to start expanding our pilot bases and reach international destinations!
Mirage Executive Charters va aims to provide a high quality virtual airline experience by using all payware aircraft as well giving pilots the ability to use other freeware and default aircraft that are similar to our official fleet to complete flights. This gives everyone the ability to fly our routes and be a member! Our website is truly something unique in the VA community. Pilots have their own profile page and are able to send friend requests, chat and send messages to all other members! We also have our own Teamspeak 3 server where our pilots spend their time while in flight!
Currently our pilot bases are Continue reading
From the Pyramids to the Acropolis, we cross centuries of history through the Mediterranean Sea. Our History and cultures were marked by those two ancient worlds and still is today. Just think of the Papyrus and the Olympic games.
Canadian Xpress® would like to invite all pilots to join us for our May 2012 fly-in where we will depart from Cairo (HECA), capital of Egypt, to Athens (LGAV), capital of Greece.
Although not required, we highly recommend that you install the add-on sceneries in order to truly appreciate the beauty and the landmarks of both countries.
This is an open invitation to all pilots no matter what Continue reading
This month, we are going to change things up a bit. We are giving you a departure airport and you get to pick your destination. Sounds easy enough right, so what’s the challenge? The Challenge is to fly as far away from the departure airport as possible and land within VFR fuel reserve of 15 minutes.
Starting at The Pitt Meadows airport (CYPK) and you are required to load the Canadian Xpress® DeHavilland Dash 6-Q300 (DHC6) with a copilot, yourself, and 50% fuel and head north east in to the BC interior.
The DeHavilland Dash 6-Q300 is not a pressurized aircraft. Portable oxygen is available; however you can only stay on portable oxygen for a maximum of 15 minutes for every hour of flight.
This means you need to fly at or below 8,000 feet for most of your trip, climbing above Continue reading
What a busy month we had. We recorded 88 pireps and our Va Central Rank jumped from 102 to 85 which is amazing as I had said in my March report it would be great to get into the top 100. Congratulations to all pilots and staff for achieving this.
Caal Airways had a major staff restructure also. Hub managers were done away with and Operations Managers were implemented. We now have an OPS Manager for USA,UK,South Africa and Ireland(north&south), not forgetting our cargo operations also at Stansted. Each OPS manager can have 2 hubs and a Hub Captain to assist him. All OPS Managers are currently looking to employ Hub Captains. Contact details can be found on the website. I am currently covering the Ireland OPS but would like to recruit someone to fill this role. This new structure creates exciting new developments and already has seen the addition of 2 new hubs at Manchester and Cork. South Africas 2nd hub has yet to be decided.
We are hosting an event this Friday 4th May from EICK to EGAA to celebrate the opening of Cork. The event has been advertised on Vroute and is open for anyone to join in. Caal members can book their slot Continue reading
