Kim flies jets for a living and is an FAA certified flight instructor. He has over 8,000 hours of flight time at WestWind. He has been involved in leadership at WestWind longer than I can remember. He is one of only a handful of pilots at WW that I consider to be qualified for this job.

This promotion has been in the works for a few months, but we wanted to give Kim some time with his family over the summer months before taking on new responsibilities.

Kim, replaces Ed Ward, Jr. who had held the position since the early days of the airline. A few months ago, Ed decided it was time to retire. Ed did a superb job for WestWind and he will be missed. He will forever be remembered as one of the pioneers of the airline.

Please help me welcome Kim as he takes us into the next chapter of the airline.

Mike Gibbs
President

Introducing Nippon Virtual Cargo! Unlike other virtual airlines, Nippon Virtual Cargo does not want to be the largest virtual airline, but rather an organization that offers a home and a place where aviation enthusiasts can join together and communicate, collaborate, and participate in and about aviation.

Nippon Virtual Cargo’s flight schedules correlate to those of the real world. Every tail-number and flight number is relative to the flight number and tail number of each route and aircraft of Nippon Cargo Airlines. The majority of these schedules are about 4+ hours long while there are 2 hour schedules. Operations are directed to the main hub, Narita-Tokyo International Airport, from Alaska, Illinois, New York, and California as well as European and Asian-Pacific cities. Frequent flights from Rockford-Chicago International Airport to Anchorage-Alaska International airport connect the central United States with the Asian-Pacific territories. This is because of direct flights to Narita and air cargo operations between Incheon. As flights between Kennedy International and Rockford-Chicago are served to load goods from the East Coast in order to transfer them to central United States for Japan, so are the flight schedules between Incheon to Narita, arriving in Alaska.

Nippon Virtual Cargo utilizes VAFinancials as its primary PIREP flight-tracking software. This service is paid for by Nippon Virtual Cargo but free of charge for members. In accordance to Nippon Cargo Airlines, Nippon Virtual Cargo operates the Boeing 747-400 Freighter and requires each person to either have a legal copy of the Precision Manuals Boeing 747-400F for a legal copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator 9 or X.

Nippon Virtual Cargo also has a 24/7 public TeamSpeak 3 server.

For your interests in professional business practices, a knowledgeable and respectable community, in addition to your interests in aviation, Nippon Virtual Cargo continues to be your number one virtual air cargo operator.

Join Nippon Virtual Cargo today @ http://www.nippon-virtual-cargo.com

Caal Airways has had an excellent October. It recorded over 100 pireps
and continues to grow from strength to strength. All staff positions are now filled with a hard working and dedicated team. We also launched our first Airbus A320 to go along side our fleet of B738 . More A320 will be delivered shortly which should give our VA a fine balance of aircraft and a good variety of choice for our pilots to fly. This months tour is in South Africa and has been designed and hosted by our Belfast Aldergrove hub manager Liam Davis. We will also be holding our first event this month which will be with Vatsim on a short flight frm EGAA to EGPF.

ALMATY,

Central Asian Airlines is proud to announce the opening of its latest route to Prague in the Czech Republic. The route will start on 7 September and serve the Central European hub 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). The route will be flown in the airline’s state-of-the-art Boeing 757-200.

The management of Central Asian Airlines is excited about this new route: “connecting Central Asia to Central Europe opens new perspectives, not only for business, but certainly also for tourism. The Czech capital is a most beautiful city and very worthwhile of a visit. Additionally, thanks to our extensive network into Asia, this offers to the Central European market a new way of flying into Asia: the comfort of any other airline at a fraction of the cost.”

The opening of this route is part of a larger expansion into Europe. The airline has also announced it is investigating possible routes into New York and/or Boston in the United States. Many Kazakh expats live in the States and it would be the first time an airline based in Kazakhstan would connect to the North American continent.

This comes at a time where Central Asian has discontinued its route between Almaty and Vancouver in Canada. In a statement, the management of the airline declared that the route was unprofitable. According to the latest press release, it may look at reopening the route at a later stage, but using an intermediate stop in Asia instead of flying a direct route.

This move lead the citizens of Bristol to question if the airline was considering leaving Bristol as whole; the airlines VCEO was quick to respond via there facebook page saying ” Bristol will remain the center of operation for our airline but due to runway problems there, an increase number of flights to Manchester will be needed to allow for a larger amount of passengers to fly to the city” It was also noted that the airline are looking at options for new domestic services from Manchester and are also considering starting a freight operation from the airport.
