Colonial Pacific Air Lines announced today it will be divesting itself of its Aircraft Holdings Division in order to better focus efforts on its expanding passenger and cargo network, which serves western and northern Canada. One of Colonial’s three divisions, CPAH has been involved for over two years with the purchase, re-sale and leasing of aircraft of many virtual airlines.

Most recently Colonial has begun to focus more on the purchase, preservation and re-sale of vintage aircraft, providing specialized services to virtual airlines looking to expand their marketing clout by catering to the ever-growing awareness of the potential customer to the historical importance of aviation.
While Colonial will be retaining the special aircraft portion, they are looking for a buyer for the remainder of the division.

Currently, the Aircraft Holdings Division includes inspection, repair and overhaul facilities at Calgary International Airport CYYC and Ontario International KONT in California. Purchase of the division will also include all stock of jet aircraft including a selection of Boeing, Airbus, Fokker and McDonell-Douglas aircraft numbering fifth-seven aircraft, spares and associated equipment. Aircraft are located at both Calgary and Ontario facilities.

Colonial Pacific has been operating since December 2006 and is one of the few airlines that exclusively operate vintage aircraft in regular revenue service.

Interested parties can visit Colonial Pacific at http://members.shaw.ca/colonialpacific/
