Eagle Wings is a premier virtual airline operating mostly on the European airline market with flight spanning the entire globe. Currently, we serve more than 50 destinations worldwide and are currently in the proces of updating and tweaking our schedule so we can provide pilots with a more realistic flight network from our hub in Zagreb (LDZA, Croatia) utilising a modern and diverse fleet ranging from turboprops to intercontinental jets. Our pilots operate using the IVAO network and take advantage of our superior ACARS system that provide the ultimate experience in Flight Simulation.

Our dedicated team is a group of flexible, innovative, and professional individuals dedicated to the Eagle Wings vision. We listen to our pilots and the industry changing needs and work together to create solutions enabling us to maximize profits today and tomorrow. Eagle Wings Purchases Aircraft

After a long and exhausting period of negotiations Eagle Wings has finalized a deal to purchase aircraft that we have been leasing.

The complete transfer included the purchase of 18 aircraft:
2 Airbus A330-200
1 Airbus A340-300
2 McDonnell Douglas MD-82
2 McDonnell Douglas MD-11
3 Boeing 737-800
3 Boeing 767-300
3 Boeing 757-200
2 Boeing 747-400
The total purchase price for the aircraft was 1.431.207.035 V$

The remainder of the fleet(3x Fokker F-70 and 1x Airbus A340-300) will stay leased and will be purchased as soon as an agreement is achieved.

The expansion is a result of market research and pilot needs. This new facility will help us meet the growing demand of for flights to the Americas and as a gateways for flight to Australia. Planes have already been leased and are ferried to our new facility.

Eagle Wings Announces Codeshare With Ecuatoriana de Aviacion S.A. and Rainbow Express Air

After a period of talks between our companys we are proud to announce that Eagle Wings has entered into a codeshare agreement with Ecuatoriana de Aviacion S.A. and Rainbow Express Air. This codeshare agreement will allow Eagle Wings pilots and passangers to use Ecuatoriana and Rainbow Express flights to get to their destinations inside Ecuador and USA, and also has a reciprocal status for Ecuatoriana and Rainbow pilots and passengers.

This will also serve as a test probe for future Eagle Wings expansions into the American markets.

Fleet Expansion for Eagle Wings

Eagle Wings efforts to become a regional leader in the virtual aviation world continue with a expansion of the current fleet.

After a few months of deliberating and weighing among the possible options the management has decided to expand Eagle Wings’ fleet with a number of aircraft types that will suite a number of route types the airline currently operates.

The said expansion of the fleet will consist of the following types of aircraft: in addition of the currently leased ATR 72-500, Airbus 320, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 747-400 and MD-11 Eagle Wings will lease a number of Dash Q-300, Fokker 70 and CRJ 700 aircraft.

“All of the planes that will be aded to our fleet will be leased and the number of each plane type will be decided by the need for a specific type of aircraft, ” CEO Ivan Ozvatic said.

The first planes are already in the paint hangar and will be avalaible for flights as soon as they get a new coat of paint.

Mr Ozvatic continued, “We here at the Eagle Wing management team hope to have the entire fleet expansion finished by the 01.04.2009, with the opening of our new hub and start the operations of the new fleet from the Zagreb(LDZA) and London(EGLL) hubs.”

Eagle Wings To Launch Training Academy

In an effort to achieve and maintain the high level of professionalism that is a trademark of Eagle Wings the management has decided to establish a new part of the company – Eagle Wings Academy.

“Eagle Wings Academy will be responsible for the training of new recruits as well as keeping seasoned members in top form. EW academy will be located at Zemunik airport (LDZD) as it is currently the best choice. With two runways which can be used for practicing a wide variety of procedures and help us fine tune the skills of our pilots, ” says Eagle CEO Ivan.

The fleet used for EW Academy will consist out of 3 airplanes: a Cessna 172 Skyhawk – one of the worlds most successful mass produced light aircraft in history, a Cirrus SR22 – a high-performance single-engine, four-seat, composite aircraft and a Cessna Citation X – a long range medium business jet aircraft, the fastest business jet in history.

Bojan Puzic has been named out Training Manager and will take over all of the duties for this post.

Eagle Wings Spreads its Wings with On-Time Launch

As reported earlier, and after months of preparatory work, Eagle Wings (www.eaglewingsvirtual.com) celebrated an on-time launch with a group flight on December 16, 2008. Originating from their main hub in Zagreb, Croatia (LDZA), the planned flight was part of a larger celebration marking the tenth anniversary of the IVAO Network and the start of the IVAO Croatia division. Utilizing hubs in Central Europe, Eagle Wings starts operations from Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik airports keeping Zagreb as their main hub. “At this early stages,” said Eagle Wings C.E.O., Ivan Ozvatic, “Eagle Wings will focus their interest on regional and European destination but with plans for soon expansion to other regions.”

The airline has also reached an agreement acquiring a Boeing 767-300Er for use in the long-haul market, connecting Eagle Wings’ hubs to other parts of the world. The new aircraft is also poised to create a presence from which further expansion could blossom. Curently, the Eagle Wings fleet consists of: four Airbus A320, four Boeing 737-800, one Boeing 767-300ER and one ATR 72-500. “The fleet will be expanded as needed by airline growth,” said Ozvatic, “[we] want to offer passengers from/to Croatia comfortable flights with the choice of low fare or flexibility, although a full inflight service will always be included. Furthermore Eagle Wings wants to profile itself as a European leader in airline service with its high standard operations.”
