Atlantic Northeast, one of UKs largest VAs has purchased la France French Airlines from Travelfrance Group. The airline will be reduced in size and rebranded to Atlantic Connect.

At the same time Atlantic Northeast searches for regional partners which are willing to operate Atlantic Connects flights from its UK hubs and from Paris CDG.

Atlantic Connects fleet consists of Boeing 717, Embraer 170 and Embraer 190.

Also the UK Express operations will be layed out to one or two local operators. UK Express flies short domestic flights in UK and its fleet consists of Cessna Caravan and Embraer 120.

La France Takes Off

La France French Airlines will started its operations 30 March. The initial flight left Paris Charles de Gaulle 06:00 CET.

“This is the first step towards a new era in french aviation,” says Joakim Holmström Zenk, CEO la France French Airlines.

La France operates a fleet of 2 Airbus A319 and 2 Boeing 717 to Lisbon, Stockholm, Munich, Vienna and Friedrichshafen.

La France Orders 737-600, Commences in March

The new French startup VA la France has signed an agreement with Boeing for a purchase of 4 Boeing 737-600W’s.

The first new one, which will be used on the route to Lisbon from Paris and Freidrichshafen-Paris will be fitted with 126 seats with the possibility to reduce the capacity when converting the cabin to Business due to demand.
Also an used 737-600 will be delivered form flyGlobespan, flying on the Paris – Munich and Paris – Friedrichshafen routes.

The planes will be the first -600′s with blended winglets.

When asked for an opening date, airline officials responded “la France will launch some time in March”.
