Lausa Air also has returned or sold many of its older aircraft in favor of newer technology such as the Airbus Industrie A321 which are on lease from British Airways in a lease-to-buy agreement established earlier this month. The new A321′s compliment Lausa Air’s existing fleet of workhorse aircraft including the Boeing 737-800 and -900 series, Boeing 747-400 and -8 series, the Canadair CRJ-700, Beechcraft King Air 350, and the incompareable McDonnel Douglas MD-11 in both passenger and freighter variants. Lausa Air is among only a handful of airlines on the VAFS network that operate the new Boeing 747-8 aircraft and the airline is very please with its results thus far. In a recent press release, the airline stated, “with the increased capacity of each B748, LAUSA AIR will be able to run each month with less overhead.”

Membership numbers for the virtual airline have been on the rise and Lausa Air looks to emerge from its restructuring stronger and leaner than ever.  ”[We] decided to open more hubs around North America and Canada,” said Lausa Air Management, “and [the airline] is still focused on achieving the global reach it once had.”
