Montreal & Moncton FIRs invite all pilots to join them on Thursday, February 7th between 19h00est-23h00est (00h00z-04h00z) on the VATSIM network and fly between the Quebec (CYQB) and Moncton (CYQM) on the Lobster Route.

This event between Moncton (CYQM) and Quebec City (CYQB) is all about recognizing the fact that the maritimes export more than 3 billion dollars of Lobster each year around the world. Quebec City restaurants are among the lobster buyers.

For this flight, they suggest small aircraft such as the Cessna 185, Beechcraft 1900 or any cargo prop that you may have.

From shipping and commerce routes, Boston’s heroic and rapid dispatch of relief following the Halifax explosion and our Christmas tree tradition, to booming cross-border tourism and mutual support of Boston’s sports teams, the bond between the these two cities is great.

In honor of these close ties, the Boston ARTCC and the Moncton FIR are pleased to present The Fundy Rush that will be held on Wednesday August 15th, 2012 – 19h00est-23h00est (23h00z-03h00z) on the VATSIM network. Halifax Stanfield International CYHZ) and Boston Logan International (KBOS) will be staffed from the ground up during this event, including Center positions ensuring radar coverage from Clearance to shutdown.

All pilots are encouraged to participate despite your skill level, to join and celebrate the continued friendship between these two cities. Join early and fly a round trip, experiencing the departures and arrivals of each airport and keeping the controllers on their toes!

The Confederation Bridge is an 8 mile bridge connecting Prince Edward Island to New Brunswick and mainland Canada.

Moncton/Gander FIR invite all pilots to join them on Saturday, May 28th between 19h00edt (23h00z) & 23h00edt (03h00z) on the VATSIM network for a crossing of the Bridge. Charlottetown Airport (CYYG), Moncton (CYQM), as well as Fredericton (CYFC) will all be staffed, so come fly in and out of these airports and have a great night!
