Announcing the USA Virtual Air Mobility Command
USAvAMC was founded in April of 2009 as Virtual Military Airlift Command. But do to a conflict with the acronym being used by someone else we decided to restructure the whole program.
If you enjoy flying USAF aircraft and your looking for a program which is not burden with structure, training, check rides and VATSIM requirement then stop by and check us out. It’s all about fun, not a part time job.
MetroAir Announces Acquisition of Cirrus Air
Kansas City, MO – On July 1st, MetroAir Virtual Airlines and Cirrus Air held a joint press conference at Cirrus’ headquarters in Chicago.
The boards of both airlines — which operate more than 600 daily flights combined — approved the acquisition of Cirrus by MetroAir for an undisclosed figure in closed door meetings Wednesday afternoon. The Cirrus brand will be dissolved but the route network will be absorbed into MetroAir’s system. The merger combines MetroAir’s strengths on the coast lines with Cirrus’ routes originating in Chicago and Jacksonville.

Pacific International Virtual Airlines Announces Launch Plans
San Francisco, CA, –Oceanica Virtual Aviation Incorporated (OVA) Chairman and Board of Directors are pleased to announce plans to start up a new Virtual Airline name Pacific International Virtual (PIV). PIV plans to operate out of KSFO and PHNL which will commence operations in the late summer of 2010 and serve up to a dozen cities worldwide with the Boeing 717, 737 and 757 aircraft by the end of its first year of operation.
Pacific International Virtual will offer its members the most updated technology and enhanced award and recognition system. Platinum Airways, a new, very virtual airline, takes to the skies
A new virtual airline has taken to the skies: Platinum Airways. The airline offers its VP’s a very virtual environment that is rich in content and low on rules. Operating out of four hubs, Platinum Airways flies a wide range of jet aircraft in its own livery. Platinum Airways is a non-VATSIM, KISS airline and is aimed at FS9 and FSX users.
Platinum Airways was established by a group of VP’s in 2009 with one central aim: to ensure that flying remains fun. Platinum Airways presents itself as a KISS airline, Keeping It Straight and Simple. SnapJet Airlines Places Order for 11 ERJs
SnapJet Airlines (SJA) has ordered 11 Embraer regional jets for use by its new QuickSnap subsidiary.
Embraer said in a statement that the deal comprises six Embraer 170s and five 190s on firm order, plus options for three more 190s.
The first 76-seat 170 is due for delivery in the later half of the 2010 summer. Deliveries of the larger, 98-seat 190s will start later in the fall, says Embraer.
SnapJet had been evaluating replacements for some time for its A319s that are operated on shorter low density routes. The new Embraer aircraft will be operated out of San Jose and Las Vegas.
As part of the agreement SnapJet has also signed a support agreement covering inventory control for parts for the aircraft over the next decade.

Virtual ValuJet Airlines to Temporarily Cease Operations
Due to time constraints amongst ValuJet management members, Virtual ValuJet Airlines is forced to temporarily close the airline. The issue has been discussed over the last two weeks and numerous suggestions have been made in order to keep VVA flying. Unfortunately,after much deliberation, management concluded that it would be best to temporarily close down until all VVA staff members have more time to dedicate.
Flight Operations will cease on May 29, 2010.

Cirrus Air Open for Business
Hyde Park, IL – After countless months of development and reorganization, Cirrus Air announced on May 10th that as of May 21st the airline would once again take to the skies with new aircraft, destinations, site and organizational structure. “Through the efforts of countless people we have successfully reorganized our airline from the fleet to our Pilot Operations Handbook, making Cirrus Air a more efficient airline”, stated Jeremy Ballsmith.
The improvements Cirrus has made in the past few months include a new website, system, addition of the Q400, over 10 new destinations including mainline services and a new regional service in the northeast, and our new POH. Cirrus has created an all new POH for its members, detailed and more specific to our operations Cirrus has worked to create a more efficient environment.
