JetLink Airways to acquire EuroConnect

JetLink Airways has new plans, as the carrier announced that it would be acquiring EuroConnect, and canceling an agreement that provided 16 Airbus aircraft to Jetlink.

JetLink Airways plans to absorb 16 Boeing 737-700s and 14 Boeing 737-800s, and EuroConnect will sell it’s remaining fleet of E145s and Airbus aircrafts.

EuroConnect now under the Jetlink umbrella did place an order for 100 Embraer E170 aircrafts that will continue to be delivered upto 2010. The airline also plans to continue flying the Boeing 73G and 738.

In other news, JetLink Airways announced that it would begin operating the Boeing 777-200LR on trans-atlantic routes to  London, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, Rome, Moscow, Zurich, and many other cities.
