It was announced today from VUSSP Headquarters that the
Apollo 19 mission has been rescheduled for launch on Saturday November
19, 2005 at 6:30 am EST. The decision came from Manned Spaceflight
Operations Director Jon Morales and approved by the VUSSP Executive
Commmittee.
The additional time will allow the crew and mission controllers enough
time to finish the mission procedures and flight plan to carry out the
mission. More information on the launch will be released shortly.
In other VUSSP news, VUSSP Manned Spaceflight Operations Director John
Morales, with the approval of VUSSP Director Kaimoni Sutton, acting in
behalf of the EXCOM, approved the plans to ressurect the SPECTRE
program which will utilize the Convoy Nuclear Space shuttle to send
crews to Mars and back.
It is unclear as to when construction of the Convoy Space Shuttle will
begin, however, it is speculated that the SPECTRE program will be
kicked into high gear starting sometime this week. More information
will be released when it is made available.
