New low cost European carrier LowJet airways plans were passed yesterday on launching a new non-stop service from London Luton airport to Helsinki, after several weeks of waiting upon slots at Helsinki they finally come through.
The CEO of LowJet which is part of the Connect Group said "this is a great day here at LowJet with another route soon to be open and plenty more on the agenda is allowing LowJet and the Connect Group to expand their operations further and further into Europe we aim to have a full service operating in the Americas as well by the end of 2006 beginning of 2007 allowing the Connect Group to move further in the virtual airline world."
A launch date for this new route has not yet been given but we have been told that plans to launch this are not too far away, the chief of operations for LowJet said "the airline has only been operating for just under a month, and so far it has been nothing but success. We have already launched a route from London to Larnaca and introduced a new Airbus aircraft into our fleet but in such a short amount of time we are launching yet another route we can only hope that we continue to be so successful and are able to expand".
