Western Virtual Airlines (WVA) has taken great strides in upgrading and updating their reservations system for pilots. The new system, launched Monday, now allows pilots to search for flights between city pairs, and returns connecting flights if a non-stop isn’t available for that market.
The system upgrade is part of WVA’s ongoing makeover of its internal operating system and is the second phase of several planned over the summer months. Other future updates will include simplified PIREP reporting, and will give pilots more information regarding their submitted information.
The first step in this process was a new flight and route structure, which occurred in the first quarter of this year.
In other news, Western Virtual Airlines has commenced service to Indianapolis, Indiana with point-to-point route service and 22 daily round-trip departures. This now gives WVA pilots routes to Baltimore, Boston, Chicago (Midway), Ft. Lauderdale, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York (La Guardia), Phoenix and Salt Lake City.
"We are estatic about introducing Indianapolis to Western’s World, and look forward to providing great service from this destination." commented David Chesterman, CEO of WVA.
WVA operates in over 150 cities in 5 countries and offers over 4000 daily flights throughout its network.
