AirLambert to open US division

AirLambert, the UK based international airline revealed today that it will open a US division.
This division is planned to open September 5th, exactly one year after the first AirLambert took to the  skies.
US operations will be based at San Francisco international airport from
where a number of services will be provided with the Boeing 737-700,
757-200 and 777-200ER.

"This is a completely new market for us, one which we are researching
thoroughly into. We believe this will be important to our level of
success in the States, making sure we are sure of exactly what our new
customers want, both in routing and service. It also puts us up against
some of our main US competitors, " CEO Sam Lambert told us today.

He continues: "4 757-200’s will be acquired from National Airlines and US Airways.
These aircraft are currently stored in MHV (Mojave, USA) and will be
completely refurbished before entering service with us. This will mean
new seats, bulkheads, overhead bins, galleys. The 757’s will not be
winglet fitted, as we do not feel they are not needed for the short to
medium haul sectors the aircraft will be assigned."
