EWOS-1 successfully launched to orbit

This past weekend, EWOS-1 a weather observation satellite
part of the Earth Weather Observation Satellite Network was launched
atop a Delta II (7925) Expendable Launch Vehicle (ELV).
The rocket lifted off from Launch Complex 17A at Cape Canaveral,
Florida at 5 pm EST on saturday evening. During the launch countdown,
there were a number of minor telemetry uplink and downlink issues,
however, they were immediately fixed five minutes prior to launch.
A recording of the mission control communications will be posted online
in the next 12 hours and added to the EWOSAT mission archives.

The mission controllers part of the EWOS-1 mission are as follows:

Guidance Officer- Jon Leach
Booster Systems Officer- Rolando Del Rosario Recovery Officer- Sarah Littrell
