Eastern VA to celebrate original Eastern
Eastern VA will be celebrating the original Eastern Airlines, as the airline announced it plans to recreate the last revenue flight of the now defunct airline.
Flight 409 departed LaGuardia to Atlanta on January 18, 1991 for Eastern Airlines. During the recreation, President George Lehning of EVA, and Senior Vice President Patrick Harris both plan to fly flight 409 on FPI and VATSIM.
During the event no other pilot will be able to use flight 409, and both pilots will have priority over all other aircrafts. Other pilots we welcomed to join the event, and are expected to meet at LaGuardia between 8:00-8:30 PM ET.
