VUSSP Resumes Spaceflight Operations

After a couple weeks worth of downtime, the VUSSP website has returned. The cause of the recent server outtage has been attributed to problems that the webhosts were having, however, all problems have been solved and the VUSSP is back in full operation.

There have been a number of changes within the VUSSP administration in an effort to streamline the decision making process.

First and foremost, the JPL and Manned Spaceflight Operations Divisions have been fused into one body and has been renamed the Spaceflight Operations Division headed by a single director and assistant director.

The person chosen for this position is currently under review, however, if anyone is interested in this position, please send an e-mail with proper qualifications and related experience to hdirector@vussp.com.

EWOS-2 Launch Rescheduled
In other news, the EWOS-2 launch that was planned for earlier this month has been resheduled to Saturday January 28, 2006 at 2 pm eastern standard time (EST). The mission control teams have been selected and prepared for the mission and it is expected that the mission will happen regardless of any complications that may arise within the next 7 days. The chosen flight director for the EWOS-2 mission is Sarah Littrell.
