Miami Sky Airways (MSA) will take to the sky by the first week of May. The announcement was made by airline CEO Jose Obregon early Friday morning.
"[We] are on the way to start[ing] operations at the first week of next month."
MSA has ordered their fleet and expected most aircraft delivered before the end of the month.
"We have choosen some of the most modern airplanes there are on the market, hopefully it will all work out as we expect it."
The full fleet will include:
* 3x Boeing 737-700
* 2x Boeing 737-800
* 2x Boeing 757-200
* 2x Boeing 767
* 2x A340 – To be added end of the year
Four of these aircraft will be installed with winglets.
"With the intruduction of two Airbus A340s at the end of this year for destinations such as Hawaii and South America the airline should grow and become stable."
The first Boeing 737-800, "Golden Eagle", has entered the final testing stages as the other aircraft are still in the paint shop.
Alex Johnson, Operations Manager at MSA also commented Friday.
"My department is almost ready to start operations. As for us, we are almost ready. All we need now is the aircraft to be finalized."
Manager John H. (Logitech) continued the positive statements.
"This is one of the best start ups I have seen for a long time. The planning, the desicions, everything. I’m sure we will grow in the market."
