Arizona Pacific puts first 737-800s into service

Today the passengers of Arizona Pacific flight 270 (Atlanta/Phoenix) received a surprise when there normal MD80 was replaced by a brand new 737-800.
This aircraft is the first of 20 on order by Arizona Pacific and will replace older MD80s over then next 2 years, the company announced today.

 

Initially the 737-800 will be used on the Atlanta Phoenix runs as well as from noise sentisive airports such as Orange County. With the phaze out of the MD80 all of Arizona Pacifics aircraft will be supplied by Project Open Sky.
