JetDirect Launches New Subsidiary

JetDirect Airlines has opened a new, wholly-owned subsidary named Aquilia Airlines.
Aquilia Airlines is meant to help jetDirect compete with other low cost carriers including jetBlue and Southwest. Aquilia has a fleet of 717-200's, 737-500 and -700's, and 757-200's.

With hubs in San Diego and Seattle, Aquilia is primarily based on the West Coast, but does offer some East Coast services with its longer range 737-700's and 757-200's. Aquilia is the first of two subsidiaries to open for the main airline JetDirect.
