Today sees the new Fly UK charter programme commence for the summer 2006 season. Fly UK charter flights in an ideal world are flights which are operated on behalf of holiday tour operators. "We are operating charter routes from 3 UK bases this summer, Newcastle, Manchester and London Gatwick. We are pleased to point out that this is the first time Fly UK pilots have had the chance to operate Fly UK flights from Manchester and Newcastle, " spokesperson Chris Sutcliffe told reporters.
"Our new route network is starting to now take shape, we have now launched our new low cost (Fly2) and charter flights, which have opened up 3 new bases already which Fly UK pilots can now fly from: Liverpool; Newcastle; Manchester. Next we will be launching our new regional and scheduled services from Leeds Bradford, Birmingham, Glasgow and London Heathrow," Mr. Sutcliffe continued. FlyUK will change to a more realistic airline, with a few aircraft based at each base, instead of all aircraft available from any base. Visit FlyUK at http://www.flyukva.com
"We also will not have masses and masses of routes to similar destinations from each base, and eqach base will operate different types of flight," Mr. Sutcliffe said.
