Recently, VATSIM (the Virtual Air Traffic Simulation Network) formed a new team of controllers called “The Hit Squad” whose job would be to help accelerate the growth of younger Area Control Centers (ACCs) on our network by providing extra training for controllers and staffing for pilots interested in coming to these areas.
Now, the “Hit Squad” is pleased to announce that the first ACC that they have been working, India, is now ready for your visits and support.
“We are busy training new controllers to work this airspace as well. People from this part of the world, or with connections to this part of the world are especially welcome to join our training programme,” Ruth McTighe, Vice President of Communications said earlier today.
Pilots are invited to visit http://india.vatsim.info where they can find all the charts they need to fly to this exciting new area, and where they will find a team of controllers waiting to handle them. If you have never flown on the VATSIM network before, you can find more information and sign up at www.vatsim.net .
“This is an excellent opportunity to fly or control somewhere new. Bring your virtual passengers to Mumbai, and while you are here hire a light aircraft and explore this beautiful country.”
