Westernair acquires Dream Travel

Westernair just got a little bigger, as the airline today announced that it had just purchased a 51% share in Dream Travel.

The move gives Westernair a small regional airline based out of Manchester, along with a fleet of 2 ERJ-135 aircraft. Officials report that the acquisition will give Westernair the perfect vehicle to operate regional services from Manchester, as well as the already planned long haul routes.

Dream Travel will continue to operate under it’s own routes, and planes, however it will do so under the Westernair brand. Although officials report that the long haul services does not begin from Manchester until January 5, 2005, the new domestic routes are already in continued operation.
