VAWTC receives delivery of new F5 S & F variants

The Virtual Air Warfare Training Centre (VAWTC) has recently taken delivery of thirteen updated ‘S’ models of the F5 “Tiger II”, which replace is ageing F5A “Freedom Fighter” fleet. Four ‘F’ models, the trainer variant, were also delivered for staff training and promotional pax flights. The F5 Tiger II has improved performance and aerodynamics, which will better serve VAWTC to fulfil its mission.

VAWTC is also awaiting delivery of one E3A “AWACS” and one KC135E “Stratotanker” which will provide operational support as part of the newly formed Support Squadron. Due to these expected deliveries, VAWTC is now looking to recruit multi engine pilots, as well as continuing to recruit pilots for the new F5’s and its Helicopter squadron.

VAWTC welcomes applications from anyone with a desire to participate in the development of this concept VA, full training is provided before aircrew are designated as Active and CtoI (Competent to Instruct).
