Following the recent economic downfall and a period of negative growth for Eagle Wings a decision has been made to optimize and consolidate our operations.
The first step in this process is the implementation of a minimum flight rule. Affective 01.10.2009. all Eagle Wings pilots will be obligated to fly at least ONE flight using VAFS in a period of 60 days. Any pilot not following this rule will be made inactive after this period and will have an additional 30 days to contact the management to reactivate its status. If a pilot does not reactivate his/hers status he/she will be permanently deleted from the rooster of Eagle Wings. Any pilot is free to ask for an limitless “Leave of absence”(LOA) by contacting any member of the management team. Pilot on LOA will not be affected by this rule.
Also in an attempt to lower the monthly maintenance and staff costs a switch to a more uniform fleet will be made. In the next couple months most of our fleet including the Beechcraft 1900D, King Air 300, Dash Q-300, Fokker 70, Embraer 170, Cirrus SR-22 and the Cessna Citation X will be returned to our lessor and exchanged for a more standardized fleet.
Also in the next few months we will be taking deliveries of our revitalized fleet consisting of Airbus (330-200, 340-300 series), Boeing (757-200, 767-300 series) and McDonnell Douglas (MD-80) aircraft from our lessor, which in addition to the previously leased A320, 737-800, 747-400, MD-11 and ATR 72-500 will be repainted into our new livery.
With this change in our fleet the academy program will be put on hold until a satisfactory training program is being made.
With regards,
