Canadian Xpress December Fly-In: Gateway to the Arctic

Canadian Xpress® would like to invite all pilots to join us on Sunday December 18th, 2011 at 20h00est (01h00z) for our December Monthly Fly-In where we will fly in Northern Ontario and up to Moosonee, the Gateway to the Arctic.

Departing from Sudbury (CYSB), we will fly north to Moosonee (CYMO). Aircraft such as the PC12, B190, AT72, JS31, JS41, etc. are ideal for this flight.

Canadian Xpress Winter 2011 Challenge Announced

Canadian Xpress® is pleased to announce the details of our 3rd annual Canadian Xpress® Winter Challenge.

This winter’s event consists of 5 legs that starts in Alert (CYLT) where Canadian Xpress® has been hired by NASA’s Earth Science Office to transport 5,000 lbs of weather and atmospheric measuring equipment to the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville AL, where the North Pole data can be downloaded and new equipment will be loaded for the trip to McMurdo Station (NZWD).

Canadian Xpress October Fly-In: Corporate Meeting

(October 10, 2011) – Canadian Xpress® would like to invite all pilots to join us on Saturday October 22nd, 2011 at 20h00edt (23h59z) for our October fly-in where we will fly to one of the lowest airports in North America.

Departing from Los Angeles Intl (KLAX) we will fly some of the country’s cooperate elite to Furnace Creek (L06) in Death Valley at 230 feet below sea level. These CEOs will be taking part in high stress meetings, networking and investment trading, better known as a weekend of golf at a high end resort with a side trip to Las Vegas (KLAS).

Canadian Xpress September Fly-In: Look Up, Way-Way Up

Canadian Xpress® would like to invite all pilots to join us on Saturday September 17th, 2011 at 10h00edt (14h00z) for our September Fly-In where we will fly to the highest commercial airport in the world.

Bangda which is located in Bangda, Tibet, has an elevation of 14,219 ft and its runway 14/32 is the longest public runway in the world at 18,045 ft or 3.42 miles. The low air density at this altitude makes a higher takeoff & landing airspeed necessary, thus why there is a longer runway.
