Early 2009 Fleet Change at flyScandinavia Virtual

In a recent move to revamp its fleet, flyScandinavia (flyscandivania.co.cc) has decided to replace its Avro RJ100 aircraft with a pair of Fokker 100′s, most recently of Air Berlin registration. This decision comes after an evaluation process that saw the Airbus A318 and Fokker 100 competing for the Freidrichshafen, Germany and Brussels, Belgium routes from flyScandinavia’s Bromma, Sweden hub. fly Scandinavia’s Jet Connect division also saw a change in their fleet as the proposed acquisition of two Dornier 328Jet aircraft was scrubbed in favor of a third Embraer 145 aircraft. The company is looking at an early January 2009 launch date for its new slogan, “Scandinavia has never been closer,” with a brand new website and the new E145 aircraft entering service.
