Early 2009 Fleet Change at flyScandinavia Virtual

In a recent move to revamp its fleet, flyScandinavia ( has decided to replace its Avro RJ100 aircraft with a pair of Fokker 100′s, most recently of Air Berlin registration. This decision comes after an evaluation process that saw the Airbus A318 and Fokker 100 competing for the¬†Freidrichshafen, Germany and Brussels, Belgium routes from flyScandinavia’s Bromma, Sweden hub. fly Scandinavia’s Jet Connect division also saw a change in their fleet as the proposed acquisition of two Dornier 328Jet aircraft was scrubbed in favor of a third Embraer 145 aircraft. The company is looking at an early January 2009 launch date for its new slogan, “Scandinavia has never been closer,” with a brand new website and the new E145 aircraft entering service.
