Virtual United Airlines Press Release for July 2013
This quarter was surely a growing phase for vUnited. We are proud to announce several improvements and additions to our strong platform ranging from an improved website to professional staff training.
We are pleased to show you the progress of the airline so let’s get started! As of now, it is safe to say we are one of the fastest growing virtual airlines in the community. Since opening three months ago, we have achieved the following in terms of members/followers:

vUnited is also proud and thankful for our many partners which provide the support needed to keep our community running smoothly. This quarter, we rolled out several new partnerships and are continuing to reach further into the community
Our new website and ACARS client have put us one step ahead of the competitors in the community. vUnited 2.0 brings our members an innovative and original platform to make virtual aviation all the more fun and exciting! Our technology team continues to make minor updates to optimize all of our members’ experiences.
This quarter, vUnited held its second pilot survey and the results yielded much improvement. We received over 40 responses to the survey and were able to draw some conclusions on where and how we can make their experience more enjoyable. Most users are happy with the light and easy-to-use platform of v2 and are satisfied with customer service and communication. (More details below)

Easyjet Virtual -1 Week Away From VATSIM Takeover
On July 6th 2013 at 1900Zulu, 2000UK Easyjet Virtual is taking over VATSIM for the night! Driving ATC controllers insane! We will be flying from our hub in Glasgow, to Alicante in Spain! The event is one week away now, all pilots are going to congregate on our TeamSpeak server, and fly as a convoy! Its our first event as a VA and we are truly looking forward to it! Also, if you are not registered for the airline, please come on VATSIM and join the fun! Any ATC controllers on VATSIM are politely asked to control the area, so FULL ATC COVERAGE will be provided.

Platinum Airways Holds a Great Gig in the Sky
During the summer holidays, Platinum Airways will be holding a Great Gig in the Sky. In July and August, the Open Skies virtual airline will be visiting some of the greatest music festivals around the globe.
The Great Gig in the Sky, a track on Pink Floyd’s historic The Dark Side of the Moon album, is the best description for Platinum Airways’ summer holidays destination of the week series. For nine consecutive weeks, the Open Skies virtual airline will be transferring music revellers and roadie material from festival to festival. The first Gig is the world famous Roskilde Festival on Denmark’s Zealand Island that runs from 30 June to 7 July. This event is serviced by a double runway airfield, Roskilde Airport (EKRK). From there, we travel to TW Classic in Werchter, Belgium, a one day event on 13 July featuring The Boss and his E Street Band, Carlos Santana, Blondie, Keane and others. As Werchter is right under the final approach path to RWY25R, Brussels (EBBR) is the logical airport for this event. Gig # 3 is the Grassroots Festival in Trumansburg on Finger Lakes, NY, with Ithaca Tompkins Regional (KITH) as its feeder airport. From there, we travel to the Fuji Rock Festival held in the Naeba ski resort (and no longer at the foot of Mount Fuji). This means that we’ll fly into Narita (RJAA). We’ll cross into August with Lollapalooza in Chicago, IL. As we have already visited O’Hare in DOTW, we’ll make Midway Airport (KMDW) our destination. Our sixth Great Gig in the Sky is Way Out West, for which we need to travel east to Gothenburg, Sweden, to Gothenburg City Airport (ESGP). We cross the Atlantic again for the farewell party of the World Electronic Music Festival in Toronto, Ontario, which takes us to Toronto-Pearson International (CYYZ). We started our operations in 2013 and our fleet mainly consists of airbus’ however we do operate the Boeing 767. Monva.co.uk is based in the UK.
