Pacific West Airways Introduces MOCS Based At San Jose, CA


  San Francisco, CA
– March 23, 2010 – Pacific West Airways announced early this afternoon, in front of a large group of media, friends and staff, the introduction of a brand new Operational Unit.

This Unit, practically referred to as “MOCS” or Maintenance Operation & Commercial Services, based at San Jose, CA will entertain two new services for Pacific West Airways.

An All-In-House maintenance department in addition to primary distribution functions will now be rolled through this newly established operation, headed by Michael Daughtry, General Manager – MOCS. Continue reading

Pacific West Airways Announces International Route Expansion Out Of Boston & Miami

San Francisco, CA – Pacific West Airways announced details on its European expansion today, releasing these new routes as part of a plan, which included the acquisition of the Boeing 737-900 aircraft, to allow for better utilization of its current Boeing 767-300ER fleet.

“It is with great pleasure that we can announce our first three international route additions out of Boston, MA today,” said Jon Kistler, Director-Boston Hub Operations, making his first official press statement after being hired by the Board of Directors just yesterday.

Pacific West Airways and German Airways Code-Share Expansion Takes Effect Nov. 1 2009

San Francisco, CA – Pacific West Airways announced early this evening, the start of additional Code-Share Service with German Airways, effective Nov. 1, 2009.

“With the continued success of our Code-Share agreement with German Airways, adding additional services to the agreement was simply just a matter of time”, said Steven Richards, Director of San Francisco Hub Operations.

“We have decided to add some of the more interesting destinations within the German Airways schedule to our Code-Share agreement and in all, nine (9) new destinations have been added to the Pacific West Airways schedule. Continue reading

Slipstream Airways and PWA Announce Aircraft Trade Deal

This morning Slipstream Airways announced the finalization of a trade deal with Pacific West Airways. The arrangement involves the trade of Slipstream’s fleet of seven Boeing 717-200 aircraft in exchange for four Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. An undisclosed financial aspect of the deal has also been completed and will be announced to stock holders later this week. Continue reading
