Phoenix Virtual Airways Now Servicing 250 Airlines

NEW YORK, New York (December 23, 2010) – Just in time for the holiday rush, Phoenix Virtual Airways (PVA), has expanded their service to include 250 airlines world wide. This allows pilots at PVA to fly for every large carrier and most regional carriers on both passenger and cargo flights. PVA boasts the largest network of airlines, flying more than 100 different aircraft types/variants to over 2,500 destinations world wide. The entire list of airlines PVA serves can be found on the PVA web site at http://www.phoenixva.org/index.php/airlinestats.

“[PVA] has the largest route network, most airframes, and more flights to more places than any other airline–virtual or otherwise,” stated Executive Vice President William Sanson. CEO Michael Moro added, “With PVA we are truly doing what no one has been able to do before–effectively model the entire airline world in a fun and engaging way. Our crew members are not locked in to one geographic area or set of aircraft. They can bid and fly for any airline as long as their rank allows.”

At any given moment, PVA pilots may be hauling cargo in a Cessna 208 Caravan for Mountain Air Cargo, a FedEx Feeder operation, or jetting over the Pacific in a 747 with hundreds of passengers for All Nippon Airways. The new airline additions include Corsairfly, Indigo, Jade Cargo International, and others. A realistic rank structure, together with various missions and regular contests ensures there is always some new challenge.

Phoenix Virtual Airways provides virtual flight crew services to 250 airlines serving over 2,500 destinations worldwide. Built using a custom Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) and phpVMS, Phoenix Virtual Airways is a leader in virtual airline automation and realism. Flight Simulator pilots using either FS9 or FSX are encouraged to become part of their community of fun loving, dedicated, flight simulator fans.
