VAFLASH.COM Email Issues Resolved
I recently discovered that I haven’t received email in quite a while now. Upon some investigation and troubleshooting I’ve found the problem and resolved it. I’m receiving email submissions normally again. If you have submitted something since the beginning of May and have not seen it posted here please resubmit if you would like it posted. I understand that some of the submissions may have been time sensitive so I apologize if your submission was not posted in time for your event.
I’ve also had a few questions since I took over the site about logins and passwords for VAFLASH. Currently logins actually don’t serve any purpose here. I don’t have a “sendmail” outbound server associated with the site so confirmation emails will not be sent. I may look at implementing this at a future date.

Eagle Wings Purchases Aircraft
After a long and exhausting period of negotiations Eagle Wings has finalized a deal to purchase aircraft that we have been leasing.
The complete transfer included the purchase of 18 aircraft:
2 Airbus A330-200
1 Airbus A340-300
2 McDonnell Douglas MD-82
2 McDonnell Douglas MD-11
3 Boeing 737-800
3 Boeing 767-300
3 Boeing 757-200
2 Boeing 747-400

ATA is Now Air Tran
ATA Virtual Airlines has been ordered to cease operations, but will continue from its recent merger with Air Tran.
A bit confusing but atavirtualairlines.com is Air Tran only.
Air Tran is hoping to find another merger to increase its fleet size and production asap.
They are also looking for Hub managers and new pilots.
They’re current fleet consist of B737-700, B717-200, CRJ 700.

Air Fresno to Change Livery – US Airways Regional Carrier
The look of Air Fresno will be changing in the near future, as the airline becomes a US Airways regional division. As part of an agreement with one of the virtual airlines long time pilots, who is a retired real world US Airways pilot, Air Fresno’s domain costs will be paid through the end of the year 2015. In exchange the airline will switch to US Airways Express livery, and will become a “payware exclusive” airline, requiring all members to own a licensed copy of the PMDG Express Beech 1900C and 1900D. The service will continue to be based out of Fresno, California, with selected service locations that US Airways does serve, but only from Phoenix. “We intend to link Fresno with more than a dozen destinations, retaining Air Fresno’s service profile, all that is really changing is the livery”. Phoenix Virtual Airways Relaunch
Created in February 2010 by a small group of very dedicated pilots, PVA is looking to take a new direction in the Flight Sim community. Although we are new, we are not going away! PVA was developed by VA industry experts, with over 20 years of experience.
We have an extensive route network spanning multiple real world airlines, so pilots at PVA have the option to choose who they fly for. You may choose to fly for only one airline, or you may choose to fly for several, the choice is yours! All while using the same account to accrue hours and work towards promotions.
