Low-cost airline, Virtual Allegiant Air, LLC, a subsidiary of Virtual Allegiant Travel Company, today announced it will establish a new base in the world-class, leisure destination Los Angeles, with low-fare, nonstop jet service from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) beginning May 1.
Flying to and from America’s favorite small cities, Allegiant plans to launch the new service with flights to LAX from 12 markets already served by the carrier with introductory low fares.
Island Pacific Group Virtual and Oasis Virtual Airlines Corporation today announced that the two carriers are in negotiation for a possible merger. Rumor has it that the two companies are negotiating an agreement in which the two carriers will combine in an all-stock transaction with a combined enterprise value of $1.7 billion, creating the flightsim communities premier global airline. Atlantic Northeast Virtual, originally founded in early 2003, relaunched it’s web site yesterday after the most significant series of changes in the airline’s history. JetEngland Virtual, a new virtual airline based in the UK, today announced the roll out of the Boeing 737-800. The 737-800, which is the smallest aircraft in the fleet will be used to shuttle passengers accross the United Kingdom and European destinations.

Today officials at new start-up airline Cirrus Air announced the appointment of Dan Genaw to the Vice President of Operations position. A real-world pilot, Dan operates the CRJ-700 for Go Jet, “I feel that his real-world experience and love for aviation will benefit Cirrus Air in more ways than one”, stated founder Jeremy Ballsmith.
