“The idea of the sale is to deliver a fond, sincere thanks to our loyal customers who have chosen to fly bluWave again and again across the regions we fly,” President and CEO Connor Levens said at the press conference earlier this morning. “Without these people, there would be no one spreading the word that our services have abundant value to them and their families. And without that, our brand would not be as successful as we are today.”
Examples of these one-way, low airfares include (see fare rules below):
COO Johnathon Neilsen wasn’t hesitant in chiming in on the press conference either, even though he was running a few minutes late. “This sale gives us the opportunity to reward the people who have helped us take to the skies in 2010,” the number two Continue reading

Eastern Airlines Virtual currently has 133 pilots on our roster. Although we may not have as many pilots as other airlines, we have some of the most dedicated pilots. We love to fly!

October has arrived and while Canada and most of the northern hemisphere brace themselves for the snow and biting winds of winter the virtual ice pilots head to South Africa for some better weather.
Starting in Cape Town (FACT) we then follow the coast to the East visiting George (FAGG), Port Elizabeth (FAPE) and East London (FAEL) before heading north. After visiting Durban (FADN) we leave South Africa and head into Zimbabwe and land in Livingstone(FLLI) Zambia. After stopping in Zambia we head west crossing into Botswana. After admiring the un-spoilt beauty of Botswana we continue west into Nambia. Once we reach the coast its time to start heading south again visiting Luderitz (FYLZ). We continue south arriving back in Cape Town in time to get the overnight flight back to Canada to brave the winter, or maybe just use the rest of the month to plan our next warm trip.
In total we will have 17 legs to cover a total distance of 3130nm using the iconic DC-3, with speeds around 170knots the Continue reading
What a fantastic month for Caal Airways. We had the highest amount of pireps recorded for the 2nd month running. Our fleet manager Brian Mason has designed a new livery and has 90% of the fleet repainted. This brings me onto the next milestone. Our first edition of Clover Flight was puiblished and a picture of the new livery can be seen there. Our magazine is public and can be viewed at
http://www.caalair.com/Newsletter%20October%202012.pdf
All the months stats can also be viewed in the magazine. Caal Airways is expanding month by month and the future looks very bright.
This month’s challenge is to forget the FMC, forget looking out the window (other than to enjoy the scenery) and close the GPS and navigate via your aircraft’s instruments by dialing up a VOR and set course towards it & track NDBs. Your welcome to hand fly or use the autopilot to track the radios, but the challenge here is to manually set the radios. Don’t let the GPS or flight planning software run the show.
Starting at Daytona Beach (KDAB), you will navigate down the east coast of Florida making your way to in to the Key’s and landing at Key West (KEYW). Along the way you’ll pass over Kennedy Space Centre and the famous, Hwy 1 Oversea Continue reading
