New VAFlash Website Launched!
As you may have noticed, we have finally got around to rebranding our website. While I would not consider this new design “complete”, I thought it made sense to just go ahead and change the site before the new year. It’s already been a year and a month since I announced the the website rebranding! Many things contributed to the postponement of the redesign but, I am glad that it’s finally started. I believe the new design will assist us with branching out to do reviews, editorials, and to better serve the Flight Sim Community as a whole.
I hope you like what I’ve come up with, I’m certainly not a professional designer! I wanted to keep it simple yet more functional with more space dedicated to news and future content. Thanks to all our readers and the virtual airlines who post on VAFlash! I hope each and every one of you, your pilots, and staff have a very successful and productive new year!

Platinum Airways Goes On Polar Expedition
Platinum Airways’ pilots will go on a Polar Expedition in January. In its latest Destination of the Week series, the Open Skies virtual airline will visit four Antarctic airfields: McMurdo Sea Ice Runway, William’s Field, Marambio Base and Wilkins Runway.
Most airfields in the Antarctic are only available during the Southern hemisphere’s summer. That makes the month of January ideal for a Polar Expedition. The first two destinations serve the main US research facility, McMurdo Station on the southern tip of Ross Island, a New Zealand claimed territory. Garuda Indonesia Virtual adds three new B737 Series to Fleet
Garuda Indonesia Virtual welcomed its 48th new B737-800NG which is also the 123rd B737 series aircraft delivered to Garuda Indonesia Virtual.
The new B738-800NG aircraft is furnished with “Boeing Sky Interior” technology which is the latest lighting fixture from Boeing. As with the new aircraft already in Garuda’s possession, the new fleet addition also comes with State-of- the- art in-flight entertainment or an Audio & Video on Demand (AVOD)” in every seat.
The acquisition of B737-800NG is part of the fleet development and revitalization program being carried out by the airline to modernize its fleet.
