1 Air Announces Network Changes

1 Air virtual announced a revised route network which, according to there VCEO Tom Helps ” was the combination of weeks of planning after we discovered a few flaws In the network”.

The changes introduced in the network revision include the cancellation of all ERJ145 routes except for the EGLC and Jersey rotations, The introduction of a new EGGD-EGNS ERJ145 service and a route change for the A318 which sees it flying to EGCC rather then London City, A move which “Is part of a major expansion plan in which we will be announcing shortly”, according to there Operations manager Oliver Cooksey.  What this expansion plan will be is not yet known but it could mean the introduction of 1 Air into a more competitive market which it looks ready for.  The CEO was reported in saying that Continue reading

Lakefront Air Announces Fresh Livery, Enhanced Website and New Routes

Cleveland, OH – Lakefront Air Virtual (www.lakefrontairvirtual.com) recently unveiled its new-and-improved look along with changes to its flight operations.  Building on foundations that have developed since the airline’s launch in 2008, the latest from Lakefront includes a fresh new livery and an enhanced website.

“We wanted to focus on bringing in new pilots by creating an even better image for Lakefront Air,” stated CEO, Chris White at a recent press conference. “The new livery and website reflect our progression as an established virtual airline, and we hope the community will see that.”

1 Air Virtual Celebrates 2 Months of Flying

1 Air Virtual, a new airline operating out of EGGD (Bristol) is this week celebrating its 2nd month of operations.
Starting off with just 3 aircraft, the airline has grown to a fleet of 7 aircraft, consisting of 2 A320, 3 A318 and a single ERJ145 with a recently delivered 757 which, according to their CEO “Will help our airline expand into the European market”.

According there COO, Oliver Cooksey; “We have seen a high amount of demand on our routes operating out and into Bristol and this will allow us to open more routes to new destinations in the future. The only problem where facing at this time is the high level of un-employment in the UK which has harmed most businesses. It is this which is slowing down the expansion of our airline so we will be doing a large recruitment campaign over the next few months”.
