Jackson Hole has become the home to many of the world’s best skiers as the terrain is considered to be some of the most challenging in North America. In addition to the skiable terrain inbounds, there is an even larger area to be explored off-piste (out of bounds). These areas are accessed through marked gates by expert skiers/boarders who are equipped with avalanche safety gear. The terrain has not only attracted the top skiers in the world but also one of the leading ski film companies, Teton Gravity Research. Jackson Hole is home to one of the most well known expert ski runs in the world, Corbet’s Couloir.

Caal Airways Celebrates 1st Birthday with VATSIM Event
To mark the 1st birthday of Caal Airways we will fly from Gatwick-Glasgow-Aldergrove on Vatsim.The schedules that need to be used are NIR1001 and NIR1011. Pilots that do not fly online can also join in using our teamspeak server. The event will take place on the 17/08/12 starting at 1800 local Uk Time. I would encourage as many pilots to attend to celebrate our first year of operations. If enough interest is shown I will be able to request full ATC for us. Boston ARTCC | Moncton FIR – The Fundy Rush
Halifax and Boston have a long relationship in trade, disaster relief and tourism dating back to Halifax’s incorporation in 1749. From shipping and commerce routes, Boston’s heroic and rapid dispatch of relief following the Halifax explosion and our Christmas tree tradition, to booming cross-border tourism and mutual support of Boston’s sports teams, the bond between the these two cities is great.
In honor of these close ties, the Boston ARTCC and the Moncton FIR are pleased to present The Fundy Rush that will be held on Wednesday August 15th, 2012 – 19h00est-23h00est (23h00z-03h00z) on the VATSIM network. Halifax Stanfield International CYHZ) and Boston Logan International (KBOS) will be staffed from the ground up during this event, including Center positions ensuring radar coverage from Clearance to shutdown.
