Virtual United Airlines (virtualua.org) is a non-profit volunteer hobby organization for simulation pilots, an environment in which the individuals can experience, learn, and have fun while conducting basic and advanced piloting skills using flight simulator software. vUAL prefers not to call itself a “virtual airline,” but rather a virtual organization. While simulating real world operations in flight simulator is a goal, vUAL wants to promote and teach all forms of aviation. vUAL would like to be a learning tool, where flight simulator users can come to experience a new level of both real and virtual aviation.
It is with my pleasure to announce the release of vUnited Airlines version 1.1! Since our opening late last week, vUAL’s staff has been at work to bring our pilots the forefront in cutting edge technology and realistic operations. Version 1.1 brings users the same abilities with added modules including:
Improvements to ACARS and new Custom Dispatch Center
Our custom-built ACARS client seamlessly integrates with the website and booking system. The technology department has fixed the landing rate bug and made improvement enhancements in the latest release. We recently released our custom dispatch 1.0, where our pilots can get a touch of the real world aviation.
vUAL Enhanced Rewards Program with Pilot Shop
vUnited Pilots will now be rewarded for their flights in our new reward program, vUAL Rewards. The system is based off of a 1 point per nautical mile flown and pilots can use accumulated points to buy gift cards to flightsim.com or badges for our TeamSpeak 3 server and much more. As pilots gain more and more points, one can be promoted to the Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Platinum Plus in which they receive 3, 5, 8, 10 vUAL reward points per Continue reading

CASTLE DONINGTON, ENGLAND – flyeuro’s executives have met earlier this year with the executives of three European airports; Budapest, Berlin Schonefeld and East Midlands. They have visited today to Midlands major low-cost airport, Nottingham East Midlands to announce the official East Midlands hub launch, a deal which was shrouded in secrecy over the past few months.
The airport officials welcomed the new airliner at EMA with a specially designed cake for the occasion at a press conference. Prioritizing the agenda, flyeuro’s Chief Executive Officer Kamil Bonczyk quickly moved on to describing the benefits of the hub launch, and announcing a wide variety of destinations to be launched at EMA. “We’re aiming to provide a low cost alternative to passengers and to pilots. With that in mind, we also need to make sure the services we offer will be of interest to our customers”.
Out of East Midlands, flyeuro will operate five brand new delivered Boeing 737-800 type aircrafts. The aircrafts have been delivered quite recently, and feature winglets as their contemporaries. Flyeuro’s COO Emil Gabrys, responsible for fleet managing said “It’s a great day for us to be at EMA, launching new destinations, and expanding, but for me above all, it’s great to see them new shiny Boeings which will soon raise to the skies out of East Midlands”.
It was confirmed that flyeuro will fly to 28 brand new destinations, including Paphos, Ibiza, Chania, Dinard, Faro, Fuerteventura, Lodz, Warsaw, Milan and Riga. In the winter schedule, flyeuro will operate flights to Chambery. Furthermore, when asked by the press about further EMA expansion, the CEO did not deny this possibility, laughing the reporter off and saying “Well, we’ve only began one expansion, so let’s not jump too far ahead of ourselves. We’ll just wait and see, but if Continue reading

Platinum Airways has revealed the theme of its next Destination of the Week series. As the northern hemisphere is (finally) climbing out of its long and severe winter, we thought that there was no better way to celebrate the rebirth of nature than by having a Flower Power month. Flower Power will take us to some of the world’s leading flower shows and events.
Spring has been a distant season in the northern hemisphere so far, and Platinum Airways is giving its pilots a boost by visiting four leading flower shows around the globe. We kick off with the Philadelphia International Flower Show and Philadelphia International Airport, KPHL. From there, we travel to the Netherlands, Keukenhof or Kitchen Garden, the world’s largest flower garden near Lisse, between Amsterdam and The Hague. So it’s only logical that we pay a visit to Schiphol Airport (EHAM). Our third Flower Power destination is the National Cherry Blossom Festival, held in Washington, DC, and we will therefore fly to Ronald Reagan National Airport (KDCA). And we end our series with Harrogate in northern England, which leads us to Leeds Bradford International Airport (EGNM). You might wonder why we’re not visiting one of London’s spectacular flower shows. The reason is simple: DOTW aims at taking our pilots to destinations that you would probably give a miss.
DOTW missions qualify for a 5% bonus if Continue reading

Here at Eastern Airlines Virtual, we have some of the most active pilots around. Since the introduction of the VAFS5 client last year, we have maintained the number one spot in the VAFS power rankings system. We have dominated in the number of flights flown and the number of flight hours. This a great accomplishment and our pilots are proud.
We have a large number of routes to keep pilots busy. Along with the routes, we have a great fleet full of modern aircraft. We also have weekly multiplayer flights, a dedicated ventrillo server, and a monthly newsletter.
Eastern Airlines Virtual started in 1998. Our Senior management staff works hard in the background to keep the Golden Falcon alive. We are always looking for new pilots to join our fine roster. Whether you are a veteran or a beginner pilot, and you are able to fly regularly, you can be a part of one of the oldest virtual airlines on the internet.
