Flock-Air’s Erwin Promoted to Vice President of Regional Division

It is my pleasure to announce that FOA-998 Erwin from Austria, has been promoted to the Flock-Air Management and will start his new role as Vice President for our FOA Regional Division which will involve redesigning this area of Flock Air. With Erwins great interest in helping out, combined with his fantastic knowledge regarding aviation, weather, meteorology and many other fields, his experience and motivation was always clear after joining and climbing up the ranks quickly from Junior Pilot to Captain.

Now his targets for the upcoming months are clear, FOA Regional should once again become as important and established as our FOA Executive division, Historic division or Helicopter division. It goes without saying that our Pax and Cargo Division are a great base too and have been incredibly managed since the companies start, which have established great features in our Group, and now a third special division needs to become a focus and so Erwin will take the challenge and develop main strategies for this Fleet, and bring it under a new brand that offers great adventures for our Crew Members under the umbrella of FOA.

Lets welcome him on our FOA Board and I personally wish him all the best in his new field of operation, and i look forward to seeing exciting news and activities regarding the FOA Regional division on our website.

Many thanks for your attention and happy flying

LAUSA AIR RESTRUCTURES PILOT PAY PROGRAM FOR EVERY PILOT

With the continue success of LAUSA Air Virtual Airlines, they are once making a change to benefit their pilots. A restructure of their pilot pay program is being revised effective August 1, 2012. CEO Mike Preimesbeger made the announcement today at a press conference. Preimesberger stated, ” After a review our successful pilot pay program that was initiated early this year, we have seen a massive spike in flights and hours being perform by our pilots, and there should be change in the program to benefit those hard fliers”. “The program works for itself, real money is attention getter for the trained eye.”

LAUSA Air’s pilot pay program started back in April when financial support was provided by LAUSA Air’s proud sponsors. Ask why the change was necessary he told us. ” The Pilot Pay program was a research module that was being tested with the airline. We wanted to see what kind of response that we could get out of our pilots. We were at a point within the airline where we were sitting on a plateau with hours and flights, which put us at a standstill in the power rankings of the VA Financials flight system. The response that we wanted to see was right on with our plan. At the current time we have a 75% positive change in our total revenue and we jumped upward in the power rankings. We still have a long way to go to where we as an airline want to be at, but we are now going in the right direction”.  The new change to the program will now include all pilots that fly for the month, even if you have .5 hrs or 100+ hrs for the month. All pilots will be paid $.10 USD per hour flown within the month”. A dime per hour is sufficient for all of us as pilots and the organization.

This will keep us on budget without taking away from other parts of Continue reading

Virtual North American Space Agency…Coming This Fall

Presenting VNASA vNorth American Space Agency

Coming in late fall this new venture presented by the founders of Strategic Air Mobility Command and Pan American Virtual Lite will debut. This new project which has been under development for several month will marry MSFS FS9 & FSX with a payware product Space Shuttle Mission 2007 . We could have gone with Orbiter 2010 a freeware product but we chose the “Real as it gets” approach. Its not unusual to introduce multiple platforms within the framework of a virtual airline. This is a serious program and heavily structured. There will be jumping through hoops and saluting *grin*.

This is not a unique concept. Sim Nasa made its debut in the mid 90′s and had over 400 members in its hay day. It was recognized by both the flightsim community and real world educational institutions. It is not our intent to emulate their contribution to the flightsim community or copy their program. What we are doing is taking advantage of Space Shuttle Mission 2007 and all its features and resources to recreate the space shuttle program. You begin your career as a USN or USAF Second Lieutenant/Ensign and go through extensive training which includes multiplay in a verity airframes with one goal, to become an astronaut. Getting there is the challenge. Whether you make the cut to fly the shuttle is up to you. As mentioned, Space Shuttle Mission 2007 is a payware product. You can go through the program, go to the top and never become a shuttle pilot. You may chose just to go through the astronaut program to become eligible to be a shuttle pilot and you can make that decision as to whether you wish to invest in the space shuttle software or not.

We do have a minimum age requirement of 18 years of age. We check this via your Continue reading

bluWave Breaks Ground on First-Ever Crew Facility at Las Vegas McCarran Airport

Las Vegas, NV — Joined by Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn E. Goodman, community leaders, local residents, and proud bluWave Airlines employees, the new low-cost carrier today officially broke ground on its first-ever crew facility to be built along East Diablo Avenue. The construction of the facility is said to be the airline’s first sole-investment in two (2) years, such that it will not depend on external funds from the company’s half-dozen investors.

According to the carrier’s website, improved quarterly reports have played a key factor in the firm’s recent operational tactics which seem to justify the management’s decision to build the facility. However, analysts remain skeptical.

“It’s one thing if an airline shows increased performance quarter after quarter,” Michele Ryan told VAFlash reporters. “It’s another thing if an airline shows increased performance quarter after quarter and spends their resources wisely. What is not something is if a startup airline shows increased performance quarter after quarter and spends their resources benefiting their pilots.”

Alex Barnes, senior analyst at Jefferies & Company, specializes on the West coast market of the airline industry and mentioned at the celebratory convention that although Ryan’s statement was generally true for most of the legacy carriers, he believes that it doesn’t hold water.

“You’re talking about an airline that, yes–is new to the market–but at the same time repeatedly gains market share every six (6) months,” Barnes told VAFlash. “I agree with Ryan that their move to build a crew facility this soon in the process is rare for most companies in this industry, but I think the firm can ‘carry the wave through to shore.’”

bluWave currently leases the two (2) of its buildings that will be neighboring its to-be crew facility along East Diablo Avenue and Continue reading
