Nearly three years after it’s launch, Simulated United is ready to come back stronger then ever. We will be introducing a new website along with a brand new acars system and forums. So what’s new?
First of all, our mission is the same, to provide pilots with a realistic experience while maintaining our philosophy that we are a family. This is critical to our VA because we want you to feel a bigger part of Simulated United then anywhere else. We still offer no test between ranks, instead, you can and freely should be able to progress in a safe and timely manner. And of course, the fact that the pilot helps the airline. No control freaks here! We want you and your ideas because after all, you run the airline.
Our biggest upcoming change is our new site. This site will be catered to the pilot providing easy access and a great layout. It will reflect the merger changes that have been going on. This head turner of a site will be the kick-off for our re-launch. (Our current site is graphically showing a pre-merger look. We still have all current flight offerings in the system based on the Fall 2012 schedule.)
Already introduced is a brand new acars system called smartCARS. This acars system is top of the line and much more catered to Simulated United then other acars programs with little to no learning curve. smartCARS has it all, from GPWS callouts, to in-flight chat, in program bids, this is our showcase piece for our re-launch. The best part is you can try it out now!
Also to be introduced will be the Dynife system. It is to hard to explain in all it’s amazingness so here is the Continue reading
Just a few weeks after securing a high profile domain name for his newest virtual airline venture, Air Fresno CEO Peter McKay launched Texas Airways on November 19th. The airline is based out of Austin-Bergstrom Airport, the population center of Texas and a major political and educational hub. “In looking at Austin we saw there was insufficient non-stop service within Texas and the mid-west is not well served either.” Flights from Austin to Corpus Christi, Amarillo, Abilene, San Antonio, Midland and Wichita Falls were created to serve Texan’s needs, and flights to Texarkana, Baton Rouge and Oklahoma City were also included in the launch profile. “In a few weeks we will be extending out non-stop and same-plane direct service through the mid-west”. The airline will engaged in full revenue service beginning December 1st.
Columbus, OH— On November 16, 2012, we launched our new site at www.flyoex.com. In addition Ohio express has brought back their Express miles program. Express Miles give pilots the ability to earn “cash miles” when they fly. Depending on what they accomplish during the flight and how they fly their leg and etc. pilots will earn cash and they will be able to redeem in their pilot center. Pilots will be able to purchase houses, cars, and all kinds of different items to add to their homes and recreational needs.
More exciting news also released, Ohio Express agreed to a codeshare agreement with Pan-Am Virtual which will allows OEX pilots to fly all over the U.S operating on their carrier while Pan-Am pilots fly on Ohio express legs. This allows our regional pilots a chance to step out and fly bigger planes if they want, and vice versa, it allows Pan-am to step into a smaller plane; in the meanwhile building a great camaraderie of pilots and a close nit airline as a whole.
KANSAS CITY, MO. – MetroAir Virtual Virtual Airlines announced the airline is an official VATSIM Authorized Training Organization for its pilots during a press conference at the airline’s headquarters here.
MetroAir pilots will now be able to undergo training and certification for the VATSIM pilot ratings, starting with the P1 rating.
“We’re very pleased to be able to offer our pilots this additional training opportunity. A lot of work went into our becoming an authorized training organization and I’d like to thank everyone involved for their hard work reaching this great milestone,” Matt Dissinger, MetroAir’s Chief Technology Officer, said.
The VATSIM P1 rating is the first rating for pilots which requires training and certification and covers being a VATSIM Online Pilot. The rating system ranges from P0, which requires no training, to P9, which requires extensive training. Currently only P1 – P3 ratings are available to VATSIM pilots.
“It’s an exciting time for MetroAir and we hope to offer additional VATSIM certifications in the future,” said Matt Calsada, MetroAir’s Chief Executive Officer.
Pilots interested in joining MetroAir Virtual Airlines can find out more information about the airline and the VATSIM training program at www.metroairvirtual.com.

Over the past few weeks Virtual Jet Blue has developed world class features for its pilots. The first is a in-flight entertainment system allowing pilots the ability to watch and listen to various radio stations, live air traffic control, and some featured movies. Also the system tracks your flight via our ACARS, and automatically broadcast real Jet Blue cabin announcements. Second our CTO Dimitri, has been working very hard, and has successfully completed a amazing web site. The custom web site lets pilots book flights and download in ease. We are so happy to offer these things, so come join us today.
