Malaysia Airlines Virtual Reaches 1000 Members
It is with great pleasure that I announce that Malaysia Virtual Airlines has reached 1000 members. After 4 years of operations we have reached this great milestone. I have worked hard to bring MVA to where we are today. We have surpassed 17000 flights as well. Not many VA’s can say they reached 1000 pilots, but MVA has joined that club. We are not going to stop there though, we are going to strive for even more members, always going to improve what we offer. Even though the real world airline has had two catastrophic crashes in recent months, we at MVA will always remember the two aircraft that have been lost, but most importantly will always remember the souls that were so tragically lost. May they all rest in peace. We will be holding a special event to mark the 1000th member, so stay tuned for more information on that event.

Kesuk Charters Reopens!
Kesuk Charters has risen from the ashes of financial crisis to once again serve Alaska.
Fighting critical illness owner Lonnie Payuk thought he’d left the company in good hands, but after a year or so it became very clear previous management was in over its head. Determined to not have Kesuk completely run to the ground Lonnie made the decision to close operations until good health was restored. With the help of friends and family Kesuk has risen from the ashes like a Phoenix, better, renewed, with a bigger sense of purpose.
Armed with a new plan and a restored outlook on life Kesuk now needs you, the pilot to restart operations throughout our hubs in Alaska. A beta period of one month will begin right after the launch of the new site to kink out the bugs that will last until August 10th, 2014.

Golden Ghana VA Reports 1000th flight!
With a charter cargo flight from Johannesburg/South Africa to Atlanta/USA, Golden Ghana VA performed it’s 1000th flight since the founding of the virtual airline in 2011. After a flight time of 17 hours and 32 minutes, the Boeing 777 Freighter, registration 9G-YDG, landed safely at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Continue reading
VATCAN Presents Moncton Monday – Weekly Fly-In
Moncton Monday is VATCAN’s longest running weekly event, providing full-coverage ATC every Monday night, beginning at 2200z, encompassing over six terminal controlled airports, and dozens of smaller fields.
Each Monday, airports including Halifax (CYHZ), Moncton (CYQM), St. John’s (CYYT), and Gander (CYQX), will be staffed from top to bottom, including Moncton Centre, in a fun and relaxed Monday night.
All kinds of traffic, whether VFR or IFR, airplane or helicopter, are welcome and pilots of all skill levels are invited.
